Rick Mallinson
Founder · Senior Appraiser Manager
Rick began his real estate career in the 1970s with the Mission Viejo Company and joined Mission Viejo Realty — the city's first real estate office — in 1978. When California created the Bureau of Real Estate Appraisers in 1990, Rick was among the first appraisers licensed in the state. In 2005 he incorporated Mallinson Home Appraisers with his sons Scott and Mark, serving clients including Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Deutsche Bank Private Wealth Management, and Mutual of Omaha.

Mark Mallinson
California Certified Residential Appraiser
After graduating from college, Mark joined the family firm in 2005. As an in-house appraiser for Deutsche Bank Private Wealth Management, he specialized in celebrity luxury home appraisals in Beverly Hills and Malibu — including valuations for A-List Celebrity estates. He now focuses on retrospective (step-up in basis) valuations for attorneys and CPAs, and Jumbo Reverse Mortgages for Mutual of Omaha.

Scott Mallinson
California Certified Residential Appraiser
Scott joined the family appraisal firm in 2003. He served as an in-house appraiser for Deutsche Bank Private Wealth Management, specializing in luxury home appraisals in Newport Beach and Irvine, and has spent the past fifteen years as Cross Country Mortgage's main appraiser in Southern Orange County.
